Here in Upstate NY, the colder temperatures are on their way out! Some of you may have heard of the “winter blues” before. (Trust us when we tell you they’re real — but they’re goe now and we’re feeling Spring).

Our designers were influenced by Benjamin Moore’s 2021 Color of the Year – Aegean Teal. The color experts at Benjamin Moore suggests that this color allows us the opportunity to “take a moment to reflect and rest.” Given the roller coaster that was 2020, we’re ALL IN for a little R+R.

We can’t wait to share 7 stylish décor elements to bring touches of Aegean Teal into your Spring home. All items can be ordered by calling or visiting the Old Brick Furniture location closest to you!

#1 Color Splash

Painting your room too much of a commitment?! We’ve got a solution. These stunning ceramic flower-esque wall décor elements are the perfect touch of color. This trio of three can be hung on a wall or used as a table top accessory. Either way, this splash of color is right on trend.

#2 Reflect we will

When Benjamin Moore suggested we use Aegean Teal to take time to reflect, we took them seriously! This statement mirror stands tall at an impressive 62”H x 32”W and is the perfect addition to any space. Position it across from large windows to reflect light within your home. Or – consider placing in a smaller space to add depth to a room. What we love most — this mirror is heavily distressed, making it feel like an aged heirloom passed down from previous generations. (…but we won’t tell anyone you bought it from The Old Brick ;)).

#3 Shine On

We have found the perfect addition to light up your reading nook! This small scale lamp is inspired by natural agate gemstones amidst a charcoal translucent glass base. We love the organic feel!

#4 Candle Holders

Candles warm up any room on a chilly Spring morning. We’re loving the movement on the bases of this candle holder duo. Consider this for on top of a sofa table or stylized on a built-in cabinet. Either way, it’s a win.

#5 Glass Canisters

Something to sparkle and shine – we love this teal pair of glass canisters. Remember the ombre trend that started a few years ago – these have those vibes and we’re here for it!

#6 Art Work

We’ve found a piece that will no doubt brighten your entry way spaces; consider this for over an entry way console. Deep tones of teal and aqua are accented with subtle blush tones (also trending!) and gold leaf accents. This piece is hand painted so each is unique; no two will be alike. At a sizeable 61”W x 41”H this piece is sure to make a statement.

#7 Pillow Party

No Spring sadness here with this cozy combo! We believe one of the most economical ways to incorporate trending colors into your home is through pillows and throws. Consider adding elements in pairs of 3 like we’ve done here – a larger square pillow and smaller kidney sized pillow sitting atop a textural throw blanket draped over your sofa or favorite leather chair.
