We’re almost through October and you know what that means right?! The Benjamin Moore Color of the Year 2022 has been released and we can’t get enough of it. While the entire color trends palette of 14 colors is quite eye-catching, we’re loving the main color; October Mist 1495. This whimsical shade of silver + green combined is going to give you a variety of aesthetics to play with! Create an atmosphere that’ll make you want to stroll the beach, build a creative space, or head down more of a neutral, yet still colorful, avenue.

We know it can be daunting to build a new space with a palette you may be unfamiliar with – that’s why we did it for you! Below we’ve created a living room vignette to give inspiration but really to show you how you can play with colors and patterns to liven up an outdated room.

We knew our Gus sofa would be a casual addition to this October Mist space, pair it with our Marley accent chair to add a statement piece. From there, pull in some accents by adding a few toss pillows, vases, and wall art. We completely adore the Pancho wall art --- it’s perfect for you Upstaters + Vermonters!

Not a fan of this setup but still love the 2022 Color Trends Palette?? We’ve got you covered! Join us for a buffet of trendy items to add to your home this year! (Don’t worry, of course we actually included a buffet.)

Before we dig into individual pieces you can use to bring the new color palette to your home, let’s start with inspiration – it’s totally normal if you need a boost in this department. We created a neat flat lay to feature a few of the 2022 color trends so you can visualize them together. This is a fun + easy exercise to get your brain juices flowing. We grabbed a few fabrics in our Clifton Park showroom and got to work! Not sure where to start? Visit any of our showrooms and gain access to hundreds and hundreds of fabrics to pull inspiration from.

Okay, now that you have an idea as to how we begin to style a new space, it’s time to give you options. There’s always a way to bring new color trends to your home. It can be as simple as swapping out décor or adding a new rug or lamp.

Now if you’re looking for a project, it sounds like completely overhauling a space is for you! Don’t worry, if you get exhausted, our team of skilled interior designers is here to help.

We’ll start with two great sofa options that are a bit lighter than the leather Gus sofa we shared earlier. Here we have our Chandler 2pc sofa sectional by Behold, it’s comfy, perfect for the family, and it’s on trend. Add a silvery-green throw blanket to this to pull in another color from the 2022 color trend palette.

Next we have a smaller scaled sofa by Craftmaster. It’s a casual cutie and is perfect for small spaces. The body fabric paired with the patterned toss pillows really draws in tones from the 2022 color palette. Swap pillows out for something a bit bolder or keep them as they are and add décor accents on your end tables.

Let’s move into dining – this is going to be super fun. We have a couple favorite collections that suit the new color trends quite well! Warning: it has been proven difficult to choose between the two sets below.

We’ll start with the Stormy Ridge Dining Collection (you’ll see this collection again later - Stormy Ridge has bedroom pieces too!) It’s a perfect combination of Chicory + Black Wood Finish paired with a distressed solid wood top. The whole collection is quite stunning but the server is our favorite.

We know that not everyone is drawn to dark finishes. So, we’ve rounded up another stunning option for you. It’s from one of the Klaussner Trisha Yearwood collections and we think you’ll love it as much as we do. Meet, the Coming Home 5pc dining set. The soft wheat tones align this with the Benjamin Moore 2022 color palette while retaining a rustic home-y feel.

Have we put you to sleep or are you ready for trendy bedroom options?? We’re kidding, we know you’d never fall asleep on us!  Once again, we’ve got lighter finish as well as a darker finish. (If you were paying attention, you already know what the dark is going to be!) Now remember, go bold and add other color trends with your bedding + toss pillows. It’s the easiest way to stay on trend.

We know we’re in the middle of Fall but meet Summer Hill – a stunning queen storage bed that suits ALL seasons. While the Summer Hill bedroom collection is a French gray finish, it still suits the new color palette quite well.

Yep you guessed it, the Stormy Ridge bedroom is up next! We’ve already chatted about this collection a smidgen so we won’t take up too much of your time here. Start swooning and add to cart! As soon as it arrives we’ll get you on the delivery schedule (it’s out of stock right now but we already have more coming soon!)

Lastly, it’s time for lamps, wall art + rugs (oh, my!) As we mentioned earlier accessories are one of the simplest ways to keep your home on trend. Let’s start with a little bit of wall art inspiration.

You’ll notice our Maisie Vases (set of 3) - add these to your living room for a bit of color trend but also texture + dimension. Next, the Grid Tracing pink rug is bold but we want you to know it’s okay to GO BOLD (it’s great for a youth bedroom.) Cloud Over the Farm is a beautiful piece of wall art that gives nothing but country charm + relaxation.  Finally, we have our Atlantic Table lamp --- if your sofa + décor are lighter tones pull in a dark lamp to create a focal point!
